"The business centre in New York (Wall Street, Empire State Building etc.) with it's lively atmosphere and enormorous concrete jungles around seems to make the same picture of the whole Manchattan city, wealth, and prosperous, beyond the means of common people. Canary Wharf then has the contrast not only with New York's biggest business centre but with the whole London as well as regions around. It represents the variety of social classes, social groups, lifestyles, landscapes giving a unique atmosphere such as you go through a portal and arrive in different worlds with absolutely different inhabitants. This place might be less notorious but much more attractive from the sociological point of view. As well as that it is a nice to be around in the formal but a beautiful and contradictory place."
