Dear forum members,
It's great to see some of you using the forum and answering each other questions! That is the point of this forum and we would like to encourage people to respond to posts where they can contribute.
We also wanted to give some guidance around posting on the forum, mainly so that you know what to expect. So here goes:
- This is a forum where QMUL users can share ideas, good practice, issues andsuggestions. We encourage all our members to participate and respond to the posts created within this forum - please be nice :)
- This forum is not monitored by the E-Learning Unit like the ITS helpdesk. Please do not rely on a member of the E-Learning Unit to respond quickly. While we will make every effort to respond to posts, we do depend on others users to also post their replies and share their ideas.
- You should raise a Helpdesk ticket (at helpdesk.qmul.ac.uk or email its-helpdesk@qmul.ac.uk) if you have an issue that is affecting one of your courses or a certain tool within a course, as this needs to be investigated by the technical team and the Helpdesk is monitored regularly. You may want to raise the issue within this forum to share your problem or to find out if others are having a similar problem. However, please note that this forum does not replace the ITS Helpdesk.
- If you have already raised a ticket that is currently being dealt with and you want to share it with other members for information/advice, do mention in your post that a ticket has been raised to avoid duplication of work from our team.
