Using LI classes to define bullet point icons in QMplus
22 October 2014, 13:21
We often make use of the various LI (list item) classes in QMplus, which enable you to replace a basic HTML bullet point with a QMplus activity / resource icon. The practice is documented on this page:
http://www.elearning.capd.qmul.ac.uk/guide/adding-icons/
Is anyone aware of a class I can use to call a QMplus folder icon, i.e.:
http://qmplus.qmul.ac.uk/theme/image.php/qmul_humanities/folder/1410851615/icon
If not, can one be added in the next release of QMplus?
All good wishes,
Richard

HI Richard
Great to hear that you are making use of those list item classes to display icons on other parts of your QMplus area. And thanks for bringing to my attention the user guide in your link.
Since that guide was produced we have added the certificate icon, the turnitin assignment icon and the portfolio icon (useful if you want to prompt your students to complete a reflection in Groups & Portfolios/Mahara). Unfortunately I don't yet have a 'folder' class.
While we wait for this to be added I have posted the folder icon graphic to this groups folder
You can just copy this to your desktop and add it as a bullet in the meantime....not perfect but a good interim solution.
I can't confirm any dates for next release but I'm sure that we will be letting you know well in advance.
All the best.
Brett
p.s I have updated the guide to include the code to add to your page, book, forum etc...if you wish to display an icon instead of a bullet.

Dear Brett
Very belatedly I wanted to thank you for adding the "modfolder" class of list item to the QMplus style sheet.
Cheers,
Richard
