Is there documentation on preventing automatic linking on forum posts? I user rang me me today and was concerened links that'd been automatically applied could only be removed after posting.

Hi Hassan,

You can turn linking off for your course as follows:

1. Click on Filters on the left-hand side
2. Turn Glossary auto-linking and Activity names auto-linking both OFF
3. Click Save Changes

If you are happy with auto-linking in other parts of the course but just want to turn them off in the forums, then:

1. Click on the forum to enter it
2. On the left-hand side under Administration, click Filters
3. Turn of Glossary or Activity linking here as above

Unfortunately we don't have a guide on this.  The Moodle guide is available at https://docs.moodle.org/28/en/Managing_filters but doesn't add anything really beyond the above.
