QMplus file upload size limits to be reduced
30 October 2015, 15:53
Dear Colleagues,
In an effort to improve the performance of QMplus, we have reviewed the sizes of files being uploaded into QMplus. Based on this review we will be reducing the default QMplus file upload size limit to 50MB.
This will mean that users will not be able to upload a file into QMplus that is greater than 50MB. This change will impact very few of our users, as 99.5% of files being uploaded into QMplus are less than 50MB. However reducing the file upload size limit will prevent those users who upload large files into QMplus from doing so as this can impact the performance for other users of the system.
If you need to upload files greater than 50MB into QMplus you will need to raise a ticket with the Helpdesk. You may be asked for further details.
I hope you can understand the reason for this change, but do get in touch if you have any concerns.
Best Wishes,
Alysa

Hi Alysa,
Does this include when staff bulk upload feedback in assignments (500MB zip file)?
We would need all our academic staff to be able to do this without having to raise a helpdesk ticket.
Thanks,
Stuart

Dear Stuart,
Yes this would include staff uploading feedback files.
However, if a ticket is raised detailing the need to upload files greater than 50MB and the course area(s) impacted, we can make a change on a course by course basis, rather than a system wide change. There would need to be a justified reason, and feedback file uploads could be a consideration.
I hope that that helps.
Regards,
Alysa
