Creating a quiz question based on an existing one

Hi,

Does anyone know if it is possible to create a new quiz question based on an existing one. This was possible with blackboard and it was extrememly convenient to create a set of similar questions.

Thanks

Nathalie

Hi Nathalie,

Yes this is quite easy to do; like opening a word document, making a few changes and saving with a new name, you can open a question, make a few changes and choose the save option "make copy" instead of just "saving changes" and this will make a different question instead of changing the existing one. I would suggest that it is a good idea to change the question names too, to make it easy to see which is which, although this is not necessary.

It's a great way to make a pool of questions that a quiz can draw random questions from, so your students can sit the same revision quiz (or a first attempt and a resit) several times and not get the same questions each time.
