Is it possible to separate notifications by assignment submission area, within a QMplus area? As in all teachers on a QMplus area don't receive all 'assignment submitted' notification.

I've tried configurations within COMMON MODULE SETTINGS and RESTRICT ACCESS, but things appear oriented around student access only (which makes sense).

It's worth mentioning the Year Abroad QMplus area that this ability is being asked after has an unusually large mix of teachers on it. 

If anyone thinks of the obvious; that I haven't considered, please let me know.

Hi Has,

Can I just clarify that I understand what it is that you'd like to be able to do? 

• You want teaching staff to receive notifications when students submit assignments. 

• Not all teaching staff are interested in all assignments so you only want them to receive notifications for the ones they are interested in.

Is that right?

While there is a notification setting on the assignment activity itself, turning this on will indeed send a notification to all teaching staff on the course area.  I'm not sure whether there might be anything that might be done with groups and assigning teaching staff to groups.

Coincidentally, I have been looking at the event monitoring feature which is now available on QMplus and I think it would be possible to set up an "assignment submission" rule using this and then staff can subscribe to get notifications from just the assignments they are interested in.

Yes, you have it right.

Thank you for the Event monitoring suggestion. I've set it up on the QMplus area in question and will notify its teachers on the Turnitin submission subscription options they now have.
