Getting Started with Online Teaching
22 April 2016, 13:02
Hello Everyone,
As interest in fully online course delivery grows at Queen Mary, the E-Learning Unit is developing workshops and sessions to help academics and programme teams get started in this area. We are currently offering a 90-minute session for anyone interested in online education, and a half-day workshop for academics or teams who are ready to start designing their online modules/programme (available upon request).
Could you please take a moment to think of anyone in your respective schools/departments who may be interested in online teaching, and forward the information below.
Thanks for your time, and perhaps I will see you at the first session in May!

Getting Started with Online Teaching
Are you interested reaching more students, or learning new methods for teaching with technology? Thinking about offering a programme or module online? Join the E-Learning Unit for an introduction to fully online teaching and learning at Queen Mary. See how colleagues across the university are connecting with international participants, and providing flexible learning opportunities for their students.
This 90-minute session will review all of the topics you should consider before getting started with online module design and delivery. We will be sharing best practice for online teaching, how to support distance learners, common challenges, and how to leverage the learning technology that enables innovative online education.
Location: CAPD E-Learning Studio, 3rd Floor Francis Bancroft Building, Mile End Campus
