As part of the QMplus upgrade, we will be upgrading TII from version 1 to version 2. What does this mean?

Turnitin will now be integrated with the standard QMplus assignment!

You will no longer have to worry about which assignment to add to QMplus  - as there will only be one assignment. Within the assignment settings, you will have the option to ‘enable Turnitin’.

In anticipation of this change, there are some things that you need to be aware of. 

1. The current version of Turnitin, version 1, will not work after the upgrade. Any TII assignment that is currently in QMplus will not be available after upgrade on the live QMplus site. Old TII assignments and submissions will need to be viewed on the archive site, when that is released during the week of the 18th July. Students will also need to access these assignments from the archive.

2. Any TII assignment that is due after the upgrade will need to be set up using the new TII version 2 integration (within the standard assignment)

To help you get started with setting up assignments using the new TII process, we have pre-released the new TII version 2 and it is available for you to start using now in QMplus. To add a Turnitin assignment, you will now need to add a standard assignment, and enable Turnitin wishin the settings.

Turnitin features are now also available within the Forum and Workshop activities. Guidance around this will be available on our website soon.
