Turnitin Maintenance Alert July 10th 4PM to 12am

Dear All,

Please note that on July 10th there will be scheduled maintenance on Turnitin software. If you use Turnitin with QMplus, please be aware that it will be unavailable for use from 4pm - 12am (July 11), while the maintenance is being done. This gives roughly three weeks to make arrangements if you will be affected, however, additional notifications will be sent closer to the date as a reminder. Please inform your fellow staff and students of the disruption. If assistance is required in dealing with the unavailability of the service, please inform the E-Learning Unit, and we will do our best to help. Further details of the disruption are in the email below.

Scheduled Maintenance

We’re just dropping you a note to let you know that the following Turnitin services will be unavailable on July 10, 2018:

  • Turnitin and TurnitinUK (including all integrations)
  • Feedback Studio for iOS
  • iThenticate
  • WriteCheck

To ensure that services remain stable, particularly during high submission periods, this maintenance will include several hardware updates and performance improvements.

 

When will services be unavailable?

PDT July 10 8am - 4pm

BST July 10 4pm - 12am (July 11)

AEST July 11 1am - 9am

How will you be affected?

While we’d love to provide an uninterrupted service, our machines require a health check every now and again...

Users will be unable to submit and grade during this maintenance window, so please ensure that any submission deadlines are adjusted to fall outside of the window.
