Dear friends and colleagues. I am delighted to let you all know that we have just released a tranche of QMplus theme updates to the live server.

Details of the enhancements are as follows:

• New login page (found under ‘../login/index.php)
  • New headings that guide users to the most appropriate place more easily –
    Queen Mary and Affiliate Accounts replaces ‘Is this your first time here’
    Non-Standard Accounts replaces ‘Returning to this website’
  • Swapped the manual account login box to the right hand side (under non-std accounts)
  • Added the shibboleth login button to the page under QM & affiliate accounts to orientate users more quickly and stop users from the double logging in
  • Added links to web helpdesk, staff user guides and online help for users with password problems
• New enlarged suite of editing icons for resources, activities and blocks..thus increasing usability
• New icon for a .jpg/.gif/.png filetype
• New icon for a .xlsx/.xls filetype
• New CSS styles added to theme to allow users to add icons to list items within unordered lists in pages, books, labels etc

• Show and hide topic sections functionality is now activated for collapsed topics (QMUL) course format
• Move topic sections is now activated for collapsed topics (QMUL) course format
• Linked the video icon to the .wma file type
• Better styling of the Module Info block, reducing redundant space and synchronising font sizes between the dynamic and static parts of the block
• HTML output has been removed from the page formats for the announcements/noticeboard/news settings area  (removal was necessary to solve a bug in topics format)
• Alternate shading for rows has been added to the assignment submission report
• Problem with site reports select box in top level nav breaking out of the parent container element is resolved
• Page navigation in browse modules is now made easier by enlargement of the page number you are on at the time.
• MyQM+ graphic has been replaced with MyQMplus
• Title banners for topic sections in topics format (QMUL) are not as big as they were (reduced height)
• The icons for docking and undocking a block are now the same size
• Better padding between fields and data in the user profile area
• Slightly improved display of subcategory list in browse modules area
• Padding for text in the static announcement area of topic zero.
• Improvement made to the popup display of a student name in the gradebook, light background colour and better styling added to improve readability.
