As I join more groups and subscribe to more forums, I foresee that I will receive more and more e-mail updates.

Is there a way to combine all the e-mail updates into a daily/weekly digest?

Here is one approach Lawal

1. Navigate to your settings from the Groups and Portfolios landing page (under the QMUL Moodle link on the top right)

2. Select Notifications from the left hand menu

3. See the options available under the drop-down 'New Forum Post'....one option is for an email digest to be sent..There are 4 options:

  • Email: your primary email address will receive an email each time the activity occurs.
  • Email digest: your primary email address will receive an email each day with a list of the activities of the last 24 hours. Typically, this email is sent at around 6 p.m., but this can be changed.
  • Inbox: your notifications area will display a list of activity notifications received.
  • None: This is only available to administrators for notifications that are only intended for administrators. They can opt to not receive any notifications for certain types.

It would be good to know if this works well across multiple groups...

Cheers

Thanks Brett and Adele.  Receiving one e-mail a day in a digest should be much better.
