This morning's update was supposed to enable guest access without the need for explicitly logging in, but it doesn't seem to work properly with Internet Explorer. The first time I try to use guest access in a browsing session I have to click the login as guest button. Then I seem to be able to access sites that allow guest access without needing to click the login as guest button. But if I close the browser and re-open it, I again have to click the login as guest button the first time I try to use guest access.

Something similar happened with Firefox initially, but now Firefox seems to allow direct guest access. Maybe the problem is transient and affects IE and Firefox with different timescales. Could this be an issue of waiting for cookies to expire?

The problem with IE seems to have gone away. Maybe I should just have waited longer before trying it!

Hi Francis,

Yes, our hosting company made the required changes between 7am and 9am as planned to minimise disruption during working hours but our developer had to configure it on the site to have everything working properly, which he did a little later as carrying out those changes would not prevent us using QMplus.
