I'm working with the Online Text activity to produce a personal journal review space in a team-taught module. At the moment, when a student posts to the activity, the notification email is sent out to all the enrolled Teachers on the module. Given that this is quite a large module, this will result in an awful lot of email traffic to my colleagues who do not need this information.

Is there any way to change this so that only the course leader (i.e. me!) receives this email traffic?

Hi Simon,

We plan for the site to take groups into account when mailing notifications, and have asked out technical team to make the changes required, so, when they have set this up, if you:

  • add students to groups along with only the relevant teacher/s who will need to be notified to view or mark their reviews (in this case, it sounds like it should be all students and you but none of the other teachers added to a single group)
  • set the Online Text activity to visible or separate groups

only teachers who are added to the group should receive emails.

I'll try to post back here when this is complete, so you know when it should work (at the moment it would still mail out to all staff roles).
