Resizing the Editing Box
11 June 2012, 23:20
As I type this entry, I am using the Moodle style editing box in the Mahara area.
This editing box is resizable (it can be enlarged by dragging the corner which makes positioning of pictures much easier.
The editing boxes in QMPLUS do not have the resizing facility available!
Can it be switched on please?
Best wishes

Are you on a university computer? Because the first time I used QMPlus on a university computer I also noted that the text-area cannot be resized, whereas ideally, it should be.
My initial hunch was that the university computer web browsers (FireFox) probably had something wrong with it, and sure enough when I came back home and tried it on Google Chrome, it was working without any hitches.
I doubt the QMPlus team has anything to enable here, since the text area HTML element allows resizing by default. Even if they had removed the resizing ability with a CSS override, others like me would not be able to perform resizes from home computers right now, which we are able to do fine...
You could try using a different browser when working on large layouts with pictures involved. You could even try building your layout on MS Word for instance and then copy pasting that into the text-area of QMPlus? Not sure if that will retain all the formatting, but I am guessing it will.

Thanks for the lead!!
I am using a home computer and having experimented this morning, it seems my usual Browser (Google Chrome) does not allow resizing but FireFox does!!
My installation of Internet Explorer had decided not to open this morning !! but will check this later!
Many thanks ... I am being converted to Firefox!!
Best wishes
