Am I the only person who gets trapped in the Mahara section of QMPLUS?

When I am in the course area I can use the Home button to get back to the entry point and can choose another course or to move back to the Mahara section.

Now I am in Mahara I cannot get back to the course area ... the home hyperlink takes me to the Mahara level but I cannot get back to the course area!!  I need to go back to the Browser and start again 

Is there a direct path back to the courses please?

Hi Terry, 

When in Mahara, I usually make the switch to the Moodle side of QMPlus with the very conveniently placed link on the right hand side Navigation beside the Avatar.  "QMUL Moodle" in the line "You have logged in from QMUL Moodle" contains the link.

Other than this method and typing out the direct url of qmplus.qmul.ac.uk, I have not really been using any other way to get back to the courses area.

Hi Terry

Your question about navigation within the combined Moodle and Mahara is a good one and very timely to. I am working on the design side of the QMplus project and I am currently working on the theming of Mahara.

As you have noticed the current look and feel of Mahara is a little clunky, this is because we have not done any work on the design (in Mahara terms the 'theme') to this point. The plan is to integrate the overall look and feel with that of the QMplus moodle side of the system, whilst maintaining the Mahara specific navigation and the sense that you are in the 'groups and portfolios' area of the system. Moving between the two will be clearer and more intuitive and clicking on the QMplus logo will take you back to the module area of QMplus.

The work is scheduled to occur over the next 2 weeks and should be installed on Mahara by the end of the month.
