Operational Principle

Material selection: First, select the metal material suitable for extruded metal 3D printing. For the metal zinc, you need to use the zinc alloy wire rod.
Wire extrusion: the metal wire through the extrusion nozzle, similar to plastic extrusion 3D printing. This step requires a controlled temperature and extrusion speed to ensure that the wires are evenly stacked together.
Stacking layer by layer: metal wire are stacked layer by layer to form the required three-dimensional structure. Each layer requires precise control to ensure the accuracy and stability of the geometry.
Support structure: Like other 3D printing technologies, extruded metal 3D printing also needs a support structure to support the suspended part. These supporting structures can be removed during the post-processing phase.
Sintering: After printing, place the parts in the sintering furnace. At high temperatures, the metal wire melts and merges with the adjacent wires to form a solid metal component.^[4][5]
