I am the Head of E-learning at Queen Mary. I manage a team of eleven staff all of whom work on enhancing teaching and learning through the use of a suite of locally supported digital tools. We provide one-to-one consultancy, face-to-face workshops, events, practitioner groups and a monthly newsletter for all staff who are interested incorporating technology into their teaching. We also run a number of projects. This year we are piloting Tracking cameras for Q-Review, Mentimeter for audience response, The Moodle Mobile App, Online Exam software and much more. Get in touch with me if you need advice on developing your own strategy or policies regarding e-learning or if you would like advice on running pilot projects in e-learning. (b.lucas@qmul.ac.uk)

I'm an Education Adviser in the Educational Development Team, in Academic Development, here at QMUL. My background is in teaching English Literature in universities: I studied for a PhD in 17th-century literature at the University of York. I am interested in lots of issues related to teaching and learning, including: supporting students with disabilities; modelling good research practice to students; widening participation and student support; cultural issues around teaching and learning; and developing good practice in online/distance learning modules.
