I'm an Education Adviser in the Educational Development Team, in Academic Development, here at QMUL. My background is in teaching English Literature in universities: I studied for a PhD in 17th-century literature at the University of York. I am interested in lots of issues related to teaching and learning, including: supporting students with disabilities; modelling good research practice to students; widening participation and student support; cultural issues around teaching and learning; and developing good practice in online/distance learning modules. |

I am the Head of E-learning at Queen Mary. I manage a team of eleven staff all of whom work on enhancing teaching and learning through the use of a suite of locally supported digital tools. We provide one-to-one consultancy, face-to-face workshops, events, practitioner groups and a monthly newsletter for all staff who are interested incorporating technology into their teaching. We also run a number of projects. This year we are piloting Tracking cameras for Q-Review, Mentimeter for audience response, The Moodle Mobile App, Online Exam software and much more.
