Why substainable?

1.Recourse

Walnut is a natural material that does not require useage of many chemicals when making furniture. In addition, walnut is also durable and can be used for a long time, reducing the frequency of updating and replacing furniture and helping to reduce the impact on the environment.

2.Processing & Manufacture

Techniques such as peeling and simple division of wood, splicing and joining, and glue and screw fixation are low-energy processes compared to casting and high-temperature heating.

These methods require either manual labor or electric power, consuming relatively little energy. Additionally, wood chips generated during the cutting process can be used as humus, recycling them to support the growth of new forest vegetation.

3.Distribution

When distributing walnut products, to maximize sustainability and environmental friendliness, users can prioritize nearby suppliers and distribution channels to reduce carbon emissions during transportation and use recyclable or biodegradable packaging materials. However, considering the stringent growth requirements for walnut trees, long-distance transportation and the associated carbon emissions are unavoidable.

4.Usage

Walnut products are primarily used for furniture, tea sets, and other household items. They are highly durable, resistant to decay, and can last for 10-20 years, making them ideal for home use. Additionally, walnut wood items can absorb formaldehyde in the home, providing a better living experience for residents.

5.Recycle

Walnut wood is reusable and recyclable. Even broken or severely damaged wooden products can be repurposed by cutting or sawing to obtain smaller wood materials for new products. If the wood structure is severely damaged, it can be crushed and used as fertilizer, serving as humus for nature.
