China has abundant graphite reserve with serval types. Graphite can be divided into two types: cryptocrystalline graphite or crystalline graphite, they are distinguished according to their microstructure. Our sample is the crystalline type which was largely produced near my hometown. It is famous for its high-grade ore and large scale; this is also why we chose it.

Crystalline graphite is generally used to produce graphene which is regarded as an emerging material in the field of energy. Based on our sample, our poster discussed graphene and its properties, applications.
