There are many mineral clays used to make Zisha, such as "Zini", "Zhuni", etc. So the first step is to determine the product to be made and choose the right mineral clay by the properties needed for the product.

2. Weathering(3-6 months)
Weathering is required to remove the larger impurities. The selected material is piled up outside to crack and weather it. This is usually done in summer and winter, when the climate is suitable for weathering. (However, Zhuni does not need to be weathered. Because it dissolves in water, it will be completely washed away and disappear.)

3. Crushing
The weathered ore is first crushed with a hammer and then ground into smaller particles with a stone mill.

4. Sieving
For finer screening to make the powder more uniform, it is necessary to use more specialized equipment screening. A special unit is set here - "Mu" to indicate the particle size, the smaller "Mu" the rougher the appearance, the larger the smoothness.

5. Mixing with Water
Add 15-30% of water. Different types of mineral soils require different doses of water. Stir after a certain time.

6. Mud Training 1
Next, the finished clay is pounded to remove air and moisture. This is done to prevent it from aging. The clay is pounded until its cutting surface is shiny.

7. Aging(3 months-15 years)
It is aged for 3-6 months in a room with a certain temperature and humidity. This is to increase its malleability.

8. Mud Training 2
The mature clay is pounded again to remove air and moisture. Otherwise, bubbles will be generated during firing leading to bursting.
