Cellulose acetate is a  safe material with almost none hazardous risks. It is healthy, incombustible and no physical hazards. But cellulose acetate may be harmful if it is inhaled. Bad consequences may be caused if it is absorbed through skin or it floats into eyes. First-aid measures should be taken when hazards take place. Detailed first-aid measures are included in the safety data sheet. When cellulose acetate catch fire, dry chemical powder should be used. And when cellulose is released, people should be kept away from that area. Cellulose should be kept in dry places which is remoted from smoking and open flames. Cellulose acetate is white, granular and stable. During the manufacture process, the generation of waste should be minimized.
