Application in sole[1]

Application in cable[2]

Applications of EVA until now

Because the flexibility in a wide range of temperature and the durability of most of solvent, EVA resin can be used in adhesives, sealants and coatings which can be the basis waterproof board and Medical membrane.[3]

When it's processed into foaming products, the high elastic properties(Impact and vibration absorption) and chemical corrosion resistance which makes it be a great choice of sole, gym mat and packing. [4]

Usually EVA is Non-toxic and Non-polluting, those safety properties let EVA be the materials of some kind of toys such as puzzle or model.

EVA also have a high electrical resistivity(similar with rubber), high packing containment and ability of cross-linked. That makes EVA easily combine with other materials and then applicated in wire and cable.

Prospect of EVA

    1. EVA have a great potential in 3D printing by using the FDM process. By using EVA, the FDM systems can overcome the difficult that cannot fabricate flexible parts of soft-elastomers and improve the mechanical performances.[5]

    2. Because the broad applicability, long sustained release time scales and highly favourably inflammatory characteristics of EVA it can be a kind of biocompatible drug delivery devices. And have a great prospect in either route of administration or nature of the active ingredient.[6]
